Mary Margaret Meinck nee O'Connor, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2020, at the age of 84.  Mary was born in the Bronx and grew up in Manhattan.  In 1956, she married her beloved husband Barney and they settled in Farmingdale, Long Island to raise their family.  Mary worked at NEC Corporation on Long Island until her retirement in 1993.

She and Barney enjoyed a very active retirement in Hampton Bays, New York and Florida filled with laughter and great memories.  She had a wonderful group of friends and family in Miles Grant and enjoyed a robust social life, including Friday night dinners at the club, card games, and potlucks for holidays.

Mary, or May as she preferred was a devoted, fun loving wife, mother, Grandma, sister and friend. Her family cherished time spent with her and May absolutely loved her grandchildren's visits to Florida filled with time at the pool, at the beach, and hearing about their friends and activities.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Barney, her children John Meinck (Beth), Doreen Zanotelli (John), Christopher Meinck (Jill), her grandchildren Amanda Gregory (Anthony), Julia, Kelly, Olivia, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Johnny, Ava and Jack and her sister Kathleen Miller (Joseph) and brother and sister in law John and Paula O'Connor.  She was predeceased by her beloved sister Veronica Knapp.

She instilled us all with her strength of spirit, and we will miss her quick wit and smile.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
