Mary Ann Zawaba, 62, of Stuart, Florida, passed away, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, she had been a resident of Stuart since 1994, coming from Holyoke, Massachusetts.

Prior to her retirement, she was a manager for several local restaurant chains.

Mary Ann attended Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Stuart.

Survivors include her son Chris Alix and his wife, Amanda of Norfolk, Virginia; her mother, Julia Pellegrini of Stuart; one sister, Linda Higgins also of Stuart; and two grandsons, Lucas and Austin.

A Memorial Mass will celebrated on Saturday, April 23, 2015 at 12 noon at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 2100 SE Cove Road, Stuart, Florida.

Contributions as a Memorial may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1200 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997.
