Maura Costain, 57, of Stuart, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at her home due to Covid-19.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, she had been a resident of Stuart since 2005, coming from Jupiter, Florida.

She was a Medical Assistant working with Dr. Jay Trabin in his practice in West Palm Beach for more than 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Mark A. Costain, who passed in September 2017 and her parents, Cornelius Conklin, Jr. and Shirley Conklin (nee Horton).

She is survived by her three sons, Andrew Costain (Jessica) of Lake Port, Florida, Patrick Costain of Stuart, and Robert Cusse (Crystal) of  Buda, Texas; three sisters, Mary Ellen Conklin (Jirak) of San Francisco, California, and Carol Conklin (Janet) of Colchester, Connecticut, and Eileen Downey (Steve) of Fort Myers, Florida; four brothers, Kevin Conklin (Rose) of Manchester, Connecticut, Mark Conklin (Elizabeth) of Juno Beach, Florida, Neil Conklin (Mary) of Jupiter, Florida, and Shaun Conklin of Stuart; and her three grandchildren, Lilliana Costain, and Emory and Slayton Cusse.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held Sunday, June 27, 2021 in the Chapel of the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart with a reception following.

Interment with her late husband, Mark will take place at the South Florida National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
