Michael C. Dworkis, 67, of Stuart, Florida, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Martin Memorial Hospital South, in Stuart, Florida.

Born in Canada, he was adopted by American parents and raised in New York, where he became a naturalized citizen. Mike had been a resident of Stuart for five years, coming from Beaufort, South Carolina.

A Veteran of the Vietnam War, he honorably served his country in the United States Navy.

Prior to his retirement, Mike was a Police Officer in the State of New Jersey.

Survivors include his companion of seven years, Vera L. Wetsel, of Stuart; and her son, Joseph Carroll.
