Michael Gonos passed away Thursday, March 3 at 9:20 am in Washington, DC with his family by his side. Michael was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 20, 1945 to Michael and Minnie Gonos. He grew up in St. Louis with a strong Catholic family and created havoc for more than one nun during his years attending various Catholic schools in the area. Michael served two years in United States Army during Vietnam and came home to marry and raise a family.
Michael is survived by three children, Tina McSoley (Stuart), Tracy Gonos (Washington, DC) and Jeff Gonos (Stuart) and eight grandchildren, Jules, Brian, Hannah, Abby, Maggie, Michael, Claire and KK.
Michael moved to Florida in 1982 and remained there for most of the remainder of his life. He worked as a Mail Carrier, retiring after thirty years of service. Michael then spent his time golfing and working on home improvement projects.
Pop Pop was a gift to his family, children and grandchildren. He lived, laughed, gave and loved in a way that was infectious to those around him. He will be missed
