Miguel Bello Delgado, 64, of Palm City passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, with nurses by his side, and memories of family members who had been there daily, as recent as the morning of the day he died.

Born October 24, 1951 in Caracas, Venezuela, he was the son of Pedro Delgado and Mary Bello Delgado. He moved to the United States to attend college. In his early years, he began training to become a pilot, but love kept his feet on the ground and he chose a new career path. He married his first wife of almost 25 years, Cecilia, in Texas. That's where he began his journey as an engineer in the field of civil and environmental engineering. He was later tasked with key roles in business development. This eventually led to him traveling on a plane, almost as much as if he had been flying it himself. (So much for staying on the ground!)

After spending a number of years in Orlando, Florida, and other cities, as well as going through a series of twists and turns, Miguel, along with his second wife, Martha, and youngest daughter, Valentina, arrived in Palm City, where he lived for more than ten years. Miguel loved celebrating the many ways Valentina excelled in school and the local community. He was very proud of her and loved any minute he could spend with herespecially if McDonald's or Taco Bell were on the schedule.

Miguel will be most remembered by family and friends as a man of great ambition, resilience, inspiration, faith, and definitely laughter. Always one to tell a joke, he wanted people to feel welcomed, loved, and accepted. He was also quick to remind others how "Jesus knows" and "God has a plan."

His oldest daughter, Cristina, calls him her "miracle daddy." His son-in-law (more like a son), "Mr. Nick," already misses their talks and lunches. Jorge, his other son-in-law, knows that El Rancho Chico will not be the same without him. His third wife, Cecilia, is saddened by the loss of her "cosita" and "grandote." Mari, his middle daughter, will miss telling him which mile marker she's at on her drive home from work, but she is happy to know he reached his final destinationHeaven.

Survivors include his first wife, Cecilia; second wife, Martha; third wife, Cecilia; mother, Mary; children, Cristina (Nick), Mari (Jorge), Valentina; sisters, Mena, Miriam and Mary; brothers, Jorge and Luis. Miguel was preceded in death by his father, Pedro, and brother, Pedro Ignacio.

A funeral Mass and celebration of life reception will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart on September 10, 2016 at 10 am.
