Mildred B. Turnquist
Nee: Smith

Age 95 went home to be with her Lord on October 26, 2012. Mildred was born in Gardiner, Florida to Joseph W. and Pauline G. Smith. She attended school in the Tampa and Sarasota area before moving to West Palm Beach She attended Palm Beach High School and graduated in 1935. She married Richard H. Brinker (Buster) in 1936 and worked at the Palm Beach Credit Bureau until 1947. The family moved to the Boynton Beach area and after raising her family she went to work at the Delray News Journal-Palm Beach Post , and later worked at the Boynton Beach City Clerk's office.

In 1984 she married Robert Turnquist and moved to Jupiter Farms. She was a charter member of Grace Bible Church in Lake Worth. After moving to Jupiter she was instrumental in helping to form Church in the Farms, opening her home to meetings, services, Vacation Bible School, Bible study groups and in many other ways.

Mildred is predeceased by Richard Brinker (Buster) , Robert Turnquist, one Grandson Scott Murphy, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by a brother, Norman Smith, two daughters, Barbara A. Murphy, Jupiter, Patricia G. Cease, Louisville, KY, one son, Richard H Brinker (Lynn), Lake Worth, Five step children and their families, Carol A. Matthews (Dave) MI, Gerald Turnquist (Roberta) Gainesville FL, Gloria Durden, Lake Worth, Joyce Allen (Doug), NC and Mary Beattle (Mike) TN. She has seven grand children, 15 great-grand children, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Woodlawn Cemetary in West Palm Beach. In memory of Mildred donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave. WPB, 33409.
