Milka Volk of Stuart, Florida, went home to meet our Lord on November 17, 2024, at the age of 89.

Milka was a resident of Stuart for 32 years, coming from Massapequa, New York. Born in the small town of Preko on the Adriatic Coast in Croatia, she left home to be a nanny in Vienna, Austria. There she met and married Franz and they immigrated to New York City to start a new chapter of their life

.She enjoyed baking, gardening, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She loved her home and life in Stuart where she was a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Born and raised Catholic, she was a woman of great faith and came through life's many challenges with perseverance, steadfastness, and joy. Milka was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked as an independent house cleaner and helped Franz renovate three houses, making each a welcoming home for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franz Volk and siblings Matija, Dora, Roko, Vjeko and Abram. Survivors include her son Bernhardt, daughter-in-law Diane, granddaughter Marissa Volk Binjaku (and husband Xhulio Binjaku), and grandsons Frank Volk and Christopher Volk as well as her sisters Anka and Ivanka.

A memorial service will be held at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 2555 NE Savannah Road, Jensen Beach, Florida on December 7, 2024, at 1:00 PM, followed by graveside internment at All Saint's Cemetery and a gathering at the family's home in Jensen Beach.
