IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy Kay
Dooher
February 15, 1960 – August 1, 2024
Nancy Kay Dooher, loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and fabulous friend, passed away on August 1, 2024 at her home in Stuart, Florida. Nancy was born in Casper, Wyoming to Marie and Harlan Mitchler. Nancy's formative years were spent in Roswell, Georgia where she met the
love of her life, Patrick Dooher. Though Nancy grew into a real Georgia girl, she retained her Wyoming roots throughout her life.
Nancy is survived by her husband Patrick, brother David (Kim) Mitchler, sister Ann (Mike) Boswell, nephews Zachary (Julia) Mitchler, Michael Mitchler, and niece Kathryn (Robert) Blythe. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Lynn Mitchler.
All who were lucky enough to have Nancy in their lives describe her universally as the kindest, warmest person they knew, with a little bit of sass thrown in. Nancy loved unconditionally accepted people for their goodness and lived her life with a carefree joyfulness that was evident to all around her. Nancy filled everyone's heart with constant joy, laughter, and love. She showed her love in so many ways to the next level, her made up birthday wishes songs are legendary, her gifts were always crazy in abundance, and no one matched her cheering at her nephew's games. We all craved her cooking-her gravy, blue cheese dressing and her Swedish meatballs were undeniably the most requested holiday food. Everything Nancy did was to make people happy! Simply put, Nancy was fun to be around, you always wanted her around, she brought life to every occasion. She made everything better. Her smile, wit, her unfiltered personality lit up our lives with pure joy and happiness. She will never leave our hearts as she inspires us to live and love each other to the fullest forever. Nancy and Patrick celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary on August 14, 2023. They had a love that flourished and sustained itself through life's many journeys. They lived in Roswell, GA until 2007. Nancy worked at RB Management Company for 20 years and retired as Executive Vice President. She managed 260 and 270 Peachtree Commercial Properties where her tenants and co-workers loved her management style of humor, kindness, and her signature high leg kicks. Nancy loved her job. Her circle of friends was life long and the roots went deep. It's impossible to describe the deep and abiding love they had for each other. Nancy loved her "Beach Girls". The Dooher family loved her as one of their own. It was inevitable because like everyone who knew her, her love for us and her sweet and fun-loving personality won us over. She will be loved forever by her "sisters and brother" Gail (Joe) Oliver, Lynn (JP) Albertelli, John (Cathie Lin) Boyle and Joanne Simon (in heaven with Nancy). Her nieces and nephews, Joe (Nadine) Oliver, Merrin (Carson) Jeffries, Cecily (Andrew) Carlin, Caroline Taafe, Will Simon, Mackenzie (Jacob) Munson, Jack Boyle who all adored their "cool and fun Aunt Nancy"
Nancy and Patrick relocated to Stuart, Florida in 2007. Nancy embraced the beach lifestyle with gusto. Her life in Stuart was beach walks, outings on their boat and entertaining the many friends and visitors who come when you live in paradise. Nancy's favorite place was Bathtub Beach on Hutchinson Island. It brought her happiness and peacefulness, especially during her illness. Nancy's journey through life included health hardships. Her first cancer battle was in 1996. She successfully fought it with courage, resilience, and never a complaint. Patrick was at her side,
and they were able to enjoy 21 more amazing years together. Unfortunately, a new health challenge confronted them in July 2018. During Nancy's six-year battle with lung and brain cancer, she stayed true to herself. She was courageous, strong for others around her, and she
never complained. Nancy continued to live her life with Patrick , friends, and family with love and joy.
