Nancy Mae Ney was born to Gertrude Rundle née Ales and John Rundle in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1935, the youngest of five children by far. In 1953 she graduated from Forty Fort High School, then married William Harold Ney of Wilkes Barre in 1955.

The couple made their home in New Jersey, first in Manville, and then in 1963 on Deerhill Road in rural Clinton Township, sharing the premises with three kids, cats and dogs, rabbits, chickens and a horse named Shia. For decades Nancy worked at Ethicon, a pharmaceutical plant in Bridgewater, producing precision surgical sutures. In 1997 the couple retired to Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Nancy passed on, or away, who can say, peacefully of old age, on April 12, 2024, at home in Port Saint Lucie. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Jane Jones, brothers Alfred, Charles and Garfield Rundle, husband Bill in 2006, her eldest child Linda Keirnan in 2020, and her grandsons Ryan Keirnan and August Kaleta in 2011. She is survived by her youngest child Deborah Kaleta, her son William John Ney, her granddaughters Thia Kaleta and Delsa Keirnan, her great-granddaughters Talia Horn-Kaleta and Ivy Debous-Kaleta, and her great-grandson August Kinetzer.

Arrangements are under the direction of Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, in Stuart.
