Nicoletta DeRosa, beloved Mama, Nonna, Great-Grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 5, 2025.

She was born and raised in the town of Toritto, Bari in southern Italy. Nicoletta met her husband, Vito DeRosa, when he was in the Italian Navy and was shown a photo of her by a cousin. They married after two weeks time and began their 61-year marriage on September 21, 1957. Together they had four children, Constantine, Giuseppe, Paul and Virginia. Following their son Giuseppe, her father Giuseppe Sr., and Nicoletta's passion for cooking to America in 1969, Nicoletta and Vito began a life of restaurateurs. First they opened Vito's Pork Store in Brooklyn, followed by Rocco's Pizza on Staten Island. In the mid 80s, together they ventured to Florida, where they notably opened Nicole's in Tequesta, as well as multiple other restaurants in the Jupiter, Tequesta, and Stuart areas. Nicoletta was a strong woman of faith, being a devoted member of the Catholic church. As well as her faith and her love of cooking, she also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and the occasional Power Ball ticket.

She is survived by her children Constantine DeRosa, Giuseppe DeRosa, Paul DeRosa, and Virginia Martini, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many others in this beautiful family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Giuseppe and Paulina DeVito, her siblings Giovanna Corallo, Rocco and Geraldo DeVito, her beloved husband, Vito DeRosa, and her loving grandson, Vito DeRosa.

Memorial service will be held August 17, 2025 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, 950 SE Monterey Road in Stuart. Celebration of life begins at 12 noon.
