Owen DeForest, 92, of Palm City
Husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday May 20.

Born in New Bern, NC, Owen moved to Pennsylvania after serving in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division in WWII where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was employed by Westinghouse as a Purchasing Agent and traveled the world. He relocated with Westinghouse to Orlando, FL and retired after 45 years of service.

Owen is survived by his loving wife Mary of 66 years, his daughter Susan, husband Dan of Pensacola, his son Owen, wife Dianne of Stuart, and daughter-in-law, Lori of Atlanta, GA, 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary.

A private family memorial service will be held at Palm City Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 2 PM, with Military Honors by U. S. Army.
