Obituary

Pamela (Flaherty) Dunican-Hatch 'Pam' aka 'Jamma', age 70, of Port St. Lucie, FL (Formerly of Derby, CT),
Beloved wife of the late Roger Hatch, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Port St. Lucie Hospital, surrounded by her family. Pam was born in New Haven, CT on February 27, 1947; daughter of the late Helen (Alfano) Flaherty and the late William Flaherty. Pam was highly accomplished, holding a Real Estate License. Pam earned a B.S. in Business Management, from Albertus Magnus College; New Haven, CT and attended Eli Whitney Technical High School in Hamden, CT; specializing in Mechanical Drafting. Pam held several senior level and middle management positions, while working in the Insurance Industry, Real Estate Industry, Law firms and her favorite; UI of New Haven, CT., where she was a Senior Claim's Adjuster. Pam was an active member of the Stuart Corvette Club, of Stuart, FL. Pam enjoyed day trips, gardening, the beach, listening to the birds, casinos, shopping with her sister Sharon and cooking. Above all, she was a proud and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also cared deeply for her late canine companion Hazel. Pam will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her beloved late husband Roger, of 13 years, Pam's survivors include her sister Sharon (Flaherty) Sopko and her brother William (Buddy) Flaherty. Pam has six loving children: Pamela Kichar of Derby, CT, Tamara Maler of West Haven, CT, Joseph Maler lll of Derby, CT, Patricia Melson of Ansonia, CT, Jacqueline Adams of South Deerfield, MA, and Heather Dunican of Seymour, CT; She has eleven grandchildren, Kala (Kichar) Devenyns, Anthony Kichar, Garrett Kichar, Shayne Kichar, David Maler, Joshua Maler, Lauren Adams, Andrew Melson, Jonathan Moger, Haley Moger and Danielle Dunican-Bassett; She also has one great grandchild, Lillie-Auna Dunican.
In honor of Pam's life, her children will be holding a private family 'Celebration of Life' dinner for the ir Mother.
