Paul Joseph Ervin, 58, of Port St. Lucie passed away October 12, 2016 at UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital in Gainesville.

Born December 24, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Robert F and Rosemary H. Ervin. He has resided in Port St. Lucie for 20 years, moving there from Miami.

Paul had worked for Florida Power and Light for 35 years. Locally he worked at the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant and was in Systems Instrumentation and Control.

He belonged to the Nuclear Power Association, United Electrical Workers Association and NRA.

Paul served in the United States Navy and received the Sea Service Ribbon and Good Conduct Award.

He was a member of the Roman Catholic faith.

Survivors include his mother, Rosemary Ervin; brothers, David Ervin, Michael Ervin and wife Barbara, Steven Ervin and wife Bobbie; nephews, Andrew and Jimmy; and nieces, Katie and Natalie.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Robert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie
