Paul F. Jackson, 86 , of Jensen Beach, Florida , passed away February 22,2021. He was born in Worcester, MA February 24, 1934. A Martin County resident since 1996, Paul was a Traffic Safety supervisor for the MA D.O.T. Paul graduated from St.John's Preparatory High School Worcester, class of 1952.
Paul served for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict at Thule AFB Greenland and in Newfoundland , in the Strategic Air Command as a fuel specialist. The troops were 12 minutes " flying time" from the Russia during the Cold War. He continued to serve 23 years in the USAF Reserves with tours at White Sands AFB, in Italy and Denmark followed by 4 years in the IRR.
Paul continued to serve his community as the Veterans' Board member of the Worcester Memorial Auditorium for several terms . He was Past President of the Jensen Beach Lions Club having received several awards. Mr. Jackson was a Life Member of the Elks having transferred to the Stuart-Jensen Lodge for a total of 55 years. The Elks will host a Memorial Service, March 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. for their Brother. Please contact them to reserve in advance. His funeral will take place in Worcester at a later date with burial in Paxton (MA) Memorial Park Veterans'section.
Survivors include his spouse of 50 years, Linda C. ( Sieniuc ) sons Brian F. of Martin County and Thomas C. Jackson of Southbridge, MA He was predeceased by younger brothers James T. and Michael D. Jackson, and his parents Francis B. and Mary (Callahan) Jackson Doucette. Paul and Linda traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Caribbean Islands, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest, including a cruise to Alaska to see the Aura Borealis. Paul's "bucket list " included the Bay of Fundy, Mayan ruins and Andrea Bocelli in concert .
