Obituary

Paul A. Messier, 66 of Palm City, Florida passed away January 14, 2017 at his home under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice.
Born December 16, 1950 in Providence, Rhode Island he was the son of Charles and Helen (nee Canovitch) Messier. He came to Florida in 1960 and moved to Palm City four years ago, coming from Davie.
Paul retired from ATT after 30 years of employment with AT&T and Southern Bell. He had been a telephone technician and installer. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
Paul was a Christian, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He enjoyed golfing, especially with his wife Pat. Paul loved hanging out with his children and grandchildren; going fishing would be one of the past times he would share with them. The family lovingly remembers his fondness for lotto and Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes. He also enjoyed watching the cooking channel, not to learn how to cook, but to suggest new ideas for dinner to his wife. When it came to sports, he was a Miami Dolphins fan.
Survivors include his sweetheart and wife of 41 years, Patricia "Pat" Messier; loving children, Nicole Marie Messier and Christopher Paul Messier (wife, Latasha); cherished grandchildren, Elijah, Robin, Kenna, Randi, Colby, Reese; and brothers, Charles Messier (wife, Jill) and Donald Messier (companion, CiCi).
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Constance Bollier.
