Obituary

Philip Litman, Esq., at 93 years of age, passed away peacefully at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida Tuesday, January 30th 2024. Phil was born in Salem, MA., where he lived with his father, Max Litman, his mother, Matilda, brother, Henry and sister, Charlotte. He was quite accomplished earning his law degree from Boston University and enjoyed a long successful career at his law office in Salem, MA.  He also served his country as an artillery major in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Masons, Kiwainis club, served on the School board, and even played the saxophone.   He married Lucille Gauthier, also from Salem and was devoted to her and her 3 young  children, identical twins, Keith and Kenneth, and daughter, Karen.
Phil loved his lake house in Bridgton, Maine where he enjoyed spending summers with his family. After retirement for his law practice, he and Lucille would spend winters at their home in Stuart, Florida where he lived next door to his brother, Hank.  True to his nature, he became president of his home association at Leisure Village and worked on the board with his friends and neighbors for nearly 20 years.  Most of all, Phil was a selfless man who loved his family more than anything. He always made sure his wife and children were well cared for before thought of anything for himself. After his wife passed in June of 2021, Phil chose to remain in Stuart.

He is survived by his sons, Keith Cornell and his wife, Patricia,  Kenneth Cornell and his wife, Erin, daughter, Karen Cornell, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
