Philip A. Mantz, 83, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Sincerely Yours Home Care in Stuart, Florida.

Born in North Plainfield, New Jersey to Philip A. Mantz, Sr. and Mary Catherine Muldowney Mantz, he had been a resident of Palm City until the last few months when illness required the excellent care of Pamela Amendola at Sincerely Yours Home Care in Stuart. Phil spent many hours at the Adult Club at the Kanner Center in Stuart.

Phil graduated from Dunellen High School in Dunellen, new Jersey, and attended Rutgers University. He served in the United States navy from 1951-1955. Phil retired in July 1991 from Trans World Airlines, where he was a Communications manager.

In his retirement he enjoyed playing tennis with his friends. He loved cooking, good restaurants and traveling to New Orleans.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Mantzof Palm City; four sons, Jeffrey P. Mantz of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Christopher M. Mantz and his wife, Patty of Berlin, New Jersey, Marc A. Mantz of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Scot P. Mantz of Chesapeak, Virginia; two daughters, Susan P. Brunner and her husband, John of North Cape May, New Jersey, and Sharon A. Mantz of New Port Richey, Florida; one brother, Norman Mantz and his wife, Barbara of Ringoes, New Jersey; one sister, Joan Turlip of Piscataway, New Jersey; one stepson, James R. Ovens of Port Saint Lucie; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

At his request, there will be no Services.
