Ralph O. Marangio, 98, born May 9, 1921 in Mesagne, Italy, and proud to be an American, entered his heavenly rest on June 25, 2019 at Treasure Coast Hospice of Stuart.

He is survived by his children, Maryanne Howe (Thomas), Ralph F. Marangio (Cindy), Fred Marangio (Rosena), and Gary Marangio (Kathee); his stepchildren, Jerry Breu (Mary), Fred Breu (Nancy), Doug Breu (Diane), and Darwin Breu; his grandchildren David Howe, Kimberly Muller, Jaime Little, Michael Marangio, Steven Marangio, and Frances Baehman; his step-grandchildren Joshua Mills, Stephanie Alldredge, Heather LeCroy, Eric Breu, Melissa Meeks, Paul Breu, and Aaron Breu; thirteen great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-step-grandchildren; his brother, Frank Marangio (Mary), his sisters Linda Bucca and Susan Stein.   He is preceded in death by his first wife Ann Manuto Marangio, his second wife Geraldine Breu Marangio, and step-grandson Jeff Breu.  The eldest of twelve siblings, he is predeceased by his brothers Arman, Bruno, Alfred, Franklin, John, his sisters Matilda Caprio, Bianca Manuto and Delores Massa.

After living and working in the New York tri-state area for many years, Ralph and his family relocated to Lindenhurst, New York where he worked as a Mechanical Process Engineer at Grumman Aerospace. In 1974 he transferred to the Stuart, Florida site and retired from there in 1986.  He was very proud to have worked on the Lunar Module (LEM) program, along with supporting the F-14, E-2C, OV-1 Mohawk, Boeing Structures, and many other military and commercial aircraft programs, during his 22 years with Grumman.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling throughout the country and Europe.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home. There will a Vigil Prayer Service during the visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. Lucie Catholic Church, Prima Vista Boulevard, Port St. Lucie.  Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
