Obituary

September 6, 1953 – November 3, 2018
Raymond Cannady Jr. passed away Saturday, November 3rd at the age of 65.  Raymond was preceded in death by his father Raymond Cannady Sr.

He is survived by his mother Mitzy Cannady, his brother Lee Cannady, sister in law Jennifer, niece Sarah, and nephew Palmer.  He will be forever remembered by his many close friends and former wife Karen Cannady.

Born in Miami, raised in Deerfield Beach, Raymond attended Pompano Beach High School, Oxford at Emory and graduated from Emory University in 1975.  A history major, Raymond continued his passion for learning about the civil war and had an extensive library of books on the subject.  He loved to scuba dive, travel and could strike up a conversation with anyone.  Raymond enjoyed watching his favorite football teams the Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Falcons.

He was technically savvy with a 20+ year career at Bellsouth.   As a realtor he bought and sold numerous properties in Florida.  He loved being near the water and was truly at home on the ocean.

Plans for a celebration of life to follow.

May the winds be always at your back and may the whispers of angels fill the jib and the main.
