Raymond Joseph Connell, 93, of Stuart, FL died March 20, 2020 at his home. Ray attended Temple University, was a corporate pilot with Westair and Panorama at Westchester County Airport, White Plains, NY, as well as Tie Communications in New York and Connecticut. During WWII he served in the Air Force and Army in Italy, Germany, and France. He was also a member of AACS during the Berlin Airlift at Templehof Airport.
Ray lived in Stuart, FL in Kingswood since 1991 and previously lived in White Plains, NY and Philadelphia, PA. He was an avid golfer who loved reading history. He attended the 50th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift at the invitation of the City of Berlin.
Ray is survived by his wife, Barbara Bauer Connell, daughter Suzanne Mortensen, and her husband Robert (Sedro-Wooley, WA), sister-in-law, Audrey Glaspey, (Stuart, FL) and nieces and nephews in Florida, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Georgia, and Arizona. He is predeceased by his brothers: James Connell, Francis Connell, and sister, Dolores Schafer.
