Raymond L. Jones, age 74 of Stuart, FL passed away Sunday, April 21 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice Hay Madeira House in Stuart. Ray was born January 4, 1939 in Summitville, IN, son of the late David and Juanita Jones. He moved to Stuart, Florida from Indiana in 1968 and loved to play golf and bowling. He was also a long time member of the Moose Lodge in Stuart and for the last 7 years has been working as an inspector at Kreiger Machine Shop in Stuart. Ray was a musician and great entertainer, playing in his own local band for many years. Ray is survived by his wife, Vickie Jones of Stuart, FL; 5 children, Skip (Karen) Jones of Jensen Beach, FL, Charice Jones of Port St Lucie, FL, Al David Jones of Stuart, FL, Cherrie (John) Bellassai of Tamarac, FL and Nicole (Steve) Kinser of Stuart, FL; grandchildren, Jake Thomas, Tracy Thomas, Kimberly Newland, Christina Seifert, Paul Yeater and Ashley Jones; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Hawkins, Helen Ruff and Viola Shaffer; brothers, John Jones, Charlie Jones and George Jones; his first wife, Janie Elliott. He was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Dave Jones, Marcella Fisher and Martha Landis. Per his wishes cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends on Thursday (4/25) from 6-7 p.m at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home (950 SE Monterey Rd; Stuart, FL 34994) where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. In honor of Ray's passion for golf, please come dressed in appropriate golf attire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St; Stuart, FL 34997).
