Richard Allen Cone, Sr., 59, of Hobe Sound, FL passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Treasure Coast Hospice.

Mr. Cone was born July 26, 1953 in Newport News, VA and moved to Hobe Sound 45 years ago, coming from Newport News, VA.

For the last 28 years he worked as a Customer Service Representative for Publix grocery stores with the last 12 years spent working for the branch in Tequesta, FL.

He was a lifetime member of Hobe Sound Bible Church.

Survivors include his two sons Rick Cone, Jr. of Fairview, TN and Ryan Cone of Hobe Sound, FL; daughter Katie East of New York, NY; two brothers James Cone of Hobe Sound, FL and Joseph Cone of Hollywood, FL; sister Susan Mattingly of Hobe Sound, FL; Mother Katie Cone of Hobe Sound, FL; two grandchildren and 3 step- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his two nephews Michael and Steven Cone.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home in Stuart, FL.

A funeral service will be held at 11:07am on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Hobe Sound Bible Church in Hobe Sound, FL. A burial will follow at Fernhill Cemetery in Stuart, FL.

Arrangements are under the direction of Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory in Stuart, FL.
