Obituary

Richard E. Havens, 76, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Born in Hudson Falls, New York, he had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie, since 2001, coming from Glens Falls, New York. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Finch and Pryne Paper Company in Glens Falls, for more than thirty years, also driving a School Bus for the Queensbury, New York School System for twelve years.

He enjoyed his family and friends, NASCAR racing, WWF wrestling and cruises. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Richard and Mary were married in Virginia in 1959.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary; two daughters, April, and her husband, Mark, and Vicky, and her husband, Steve; two brothers, Harry, and Stephen; two sisters, Carol, and Nell; five grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley, Collin, Christopher, and Lauren; one great-grandchild, Peyton; nephew, Stephen, and his wife, Cindy; niece Nita; and a wealth of loving family and friends, too numerous to list.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Susan Havens.

A Celebration of his Life and Scattering will be at the convenience of the family.
