Richard Stephen Hudson, Sr. "Dick", 87, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Solaris Healthcare Parkway in Stuart.

Born on July 11, 1932 in Flushing, New York, he grew up in Huntington and raised his family in Smithtown, New York.

Dick honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army.

He worked for the Local 30 Union at Roosevelt, Aquaduct and Belmont Raceways, and retired at the age of 62 and relocated to Melbourne and Stuart, Florida with his wife of  63 years Betty (née Matthews).

Beloved father of Cathy Hudson of Florida, Richard, Hudson, Jr. of Florida, James  Hudson and his wife, Kimberly of New York and Susan Federico and her husband, Victor of New York.  Also survived by 8 adoring grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions as a memorial may be made to the Kane Center Adult Day Care/Memory Care, 900 Salerno Road Stuart, Florida 34997.
