Richard "Jake" W. Jacobi, 82 of Sewalls Point, Florida passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, Florida. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

His wife, "Dee" has asked us to place this obit she wrote, onto the website for his family and friends.

I'm sorry to send this to so many people, but it is quite difficult for me to deal with this right now.

Jake passed away Thursday, May 5th, 2016 after the best fight of his life. He died quietly and is at peace now. It was a very long battle, but he did his best to beat the beast!

Hospice is the best organization in the world and if you haven't already donated to them, please do so. They are with him 24/7. Only a call away if I come home to sleep.

He cared for the Ocean Club and every one of his friends far more than you all could possibly know.
All of our friends from Illinois and parts unknown................he loved you all.

There is no service planned for him at this time, but we will do something to honor him and his friends in the future.

It is a sad day for me.................I'm fortunate that Ken is here to help me through this REALLY difficult time.
I have some very close friends that have been here day after day to sit with us at Hospice House. No way to say how much strength they have provided.

Our Pastor, Tim Roberts of the Stuart Congregational Church has followed our journey..................and bless him.
