Richard K. Kane, 82, of Beach Haven Crest, New Jerey, died Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Martin Memorial Hospital North in Stuart, Florida.

Born in New Brunswick,New Jersey, he had been a winter resident of Port Salerno and Stuart for the last 20 years.

A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy.

Following the Navy, he began his apprenticeship as a Steamfitter with Local 475 in Newark, New Jersey and served 38 years in the business.

He was a member of the VFW Post #3729 in Beach Haven Crest, as well as a member of the Elks Lodge in Bridgewater, New Jersey, for more than 35 years.

An avid traveler, he loved to cruise with his wife and was a Platinum Member of Princess Cruise Lines Captain's Circle.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Patricia Kane, who passed away in 2012, his daughter, Patrice Kane, his brother, Donald
Kane, and his sister, Jane Poklemba.

Survivors include two sons, Kemp Kane of Bridgewater, and Russ Kane and his wife, Lorraine and their two children, Shannon and Brittney of Hobe Sound, FL; one brother,
Jack Kane and his wife, Rita of New Brunswick.

A Service to Celebrate his Life will be held at 12 noon Friday, May 22, 2015, on Long Beach Island, New Jersey at the Saint Francis Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach.
