Richard S. Karol, 69, of Stuart, Florida, died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at his home.
Born in Astoria, New York, he had been a resident of Stuart, for fifteen years, coming from West Palm Beach, Florida.
Prior to his retirement, Richie was a Commercial Fisherman, fishing out of Port Salerno.
Beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Mary M. Karol, of Stuart; two sons, Eugene R. Karol, and his wife, Esperanza, of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Joseph S. Karol, and his wife, Jamie Walter, of Stuart; three daughters, Lisa A. Sullivan, and her husband, Robert, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Deena M. Komar, and her husband, Robert, of Clayton, North Carolina, and Tami L. Karol-Nicholas, and her husband, Raymond, of Stuart; one brother, Eugene H. Karol of Port Saint Lucie; eleven grandchildren, Tabitha, Katie, Karli, Tatyana, Alexis, Gino, Robbie, Michael, Molly, Joey, and Jaxon; and his faithful canine companion, "Daisey".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at 11:00 am at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 2100 SE Cove Road, Stuart, Florida 34997. A Reception for Family and Friends will follow the Mass.
