Richard J. Morton, age 94 of Stuart, Florida passed away on May 31, 2025. Born in Flushing, NY, raised his family on Long Island and retired
in Key Colony Beach, FL and Stuart FL.
Prior to retiring he was an telephone installer for the New York Telephone company. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy on the ship USS Bennington.
Survivors include his children Teresa (Steven), James, Thomas (Theresa), Kathleen (Jeffrey), and Linda (Michael). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren whom he loved dearly and 7 great grandchildren who adored him. He is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor.
Dick was a fun loving guy, who loved his Yankees and Giants and never turned down a happy hour. He was a friend to everyone he met and left an impression on everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Catholic Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 10 at 1 PM. St Andrews RC Church, 2100 SE Cove Road, Stuart, Florida
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation or Treasure Coast Hospice of Stuart.
