Obituary

Richard P. Muto of Orleans, Massachusetts and Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died unexpectedly at his home in Florida, Monday, May 11, 2015, at the age of 62.

Rich is survived by his wife Christina Muto, children & grandchildren, Nicholas & Sara Muto and their daughter Evelyn, of Brewster, Massachusetts, Anthony Muto of Port St. Lucie Florida, and Joseph & Vanessa Muto, of Palm City, Florida; his brother Stephen Muto, of Framingham, Massachusetts; and his sister Carol Sweeney, of Bolton, Massachusetts, as well as extended family that includes many brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dominic and Delia Muto of Framingham.

Rich was born on February 25, 1953 in Framingham. He graduated from Framingham South High School in 1971. He married Chistina Lefter, currently a kindergarten teacher at Palm Point in Port Saint Lucie, in 1977. Rich retired in 2005 after working for the United States Postal Service for 25 years.

His family will remember him as a motorcycle enthusiast, who was happiest riding his Harley with his wife Chris on the back and with friends and family who shared his passion. He will also be remembered for his great smile, easy laugh, and love of family and friends. He was a wonderful father, supporting his children by encouraging them to pursue their goals and be their best and a grandfather who shared a special bond with his granddaughter Evie.

Services in Florida will be private. A celebration of his life will be held on Cape Cod later in the fall.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate people to pay it forward. Make a donation of time or money to favorite charity or take the time out to make someone smile.
