Richard I. Rankin, 77, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on March 19, 2020 at his residence.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie coming from Lincoln, Rhode Island.

He received his bachelors and masters degrees from Providence College.

He had served in the U.S. Air Force.  He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie.

Before retiring he was a teacher at Citizens Memorial Elementary School, Woonsocket, RI.

Survivors include his wife, of 50 years, Sharon Rankin, his children, Lisa Rankin, Scott Rankin and his companion, Daniel Kamin; his grandchildren, Arianna Atehortua and Claire Rankin Kamin and a great grandson Christopher Spute III.
