Died December 16, 2018 at his home with family by his side. Bud was born in Dover, Ohio; lived in Ohio, Michigan, and Logansport, IN. He was a WWII veteran and joined the US Navy at age 17. Last April Bud, along with his daughter Erin, had the privilege to join other veterans on the Southeast Florida Honor Flight and visit Washington, DC. It was a heartwarming experience to say the least. He resided the last 36 years in Stuart, FL. Bud attended Penn College in Cleveland, Ohio and worked for Citi Service. Before retirement in 1996, he worked in real estate for Pace Homes in Port St. Lucie, FL. Bud was Senior Warden at Trinity Episcopal Church in Logansport, IN and was a Vestry Member at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stuart, Fl.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jean, and their son, Daniel. Bud was loved and adored by their three daughters, Renee Muehlhausen (David Harling) of Argos, IN, Lorraine (John) Zartman of Palm City, FL, Erin (Mark) Arnold of Palm City, FL, grandchildren, Greg (Lexi) Ripple, Angie Weese, Erik Muehlhausen (Aimee Zoeller), Henry (Meredith) Meuhlhausen, Elizabeth (Keegan) Campbell, Crystal (Jason) Neels, AJ (Claudia) Zartman, Cory Zartman (Vivian Carlo), Genna Zartman (Pete Hall), Madison Arnold (John Doyle), and Macey Arnold, and great grandchildren, Dane Ripple, Juan Espinoza, Dominic Espinoza, Orissa Hudson, Elliot Muehlhausen, Porter Mae Campbell, Everett Campbell, Braden Zartman, Ava Zartman, Evelee Hernandez, Gwyn Neels, Stella Neels, Olivia Zartman, and Wyatt Zartman.
Bud will be remembered for his strong faith, love of family (especially the "little ones"), sense of humor and quick wit, gentle ways, storytelling, passion for fishing, and reading and watching westerns. "Fish on the line, boys!"
A Memorial Service will held be on Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stuart, Florida at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's General Fund, Treasure Coast Hospice, or Southeast Florida Honor Flight Inc.
