Richard G. Stephens, 86, of Port Saint Lucie, FL formerly from Beaver, PA, passed away comfortably surrounded by his family on Monday, October 28 ^th , 2019.

Born on February 14, 1933, in Beaver Falls, PA., he was the son of the late Wesley H. Stephens and Virginia Hall.  Richard Graduated from Rochester High School. He was united in marriage to Catherine M. Stephens on January 28, 1956, for 61 years.

Richard also served his country in the Air Force and then attended Penn State University. He worked at St Joe Lead and Fluor Corporation in Monaca PA as a Metallurgist lab technician, where he retired.

While raising his four children, he enjoyed playing tennis; league volleyball and tinkering in his home shop in the family home in Brighton Township.

Dick and Cathy were devoted members of the Grace Lutheran Church of Rochester, PA, and Port St. Lucie, FL.  Dick's favorite pass times included watching Steelers football and interacting with his numerous grandchildren, gardening, walking and cuddling with his Pomeranian, Tibi.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his wife Catherine, a sister Eleanor Haddix, and a daughter-in-law Vickie Stephens.

He will be forever missed by his loving remaining children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, including his three sons Richard D. Stephens, Terry L. Stephens and his wife Janice of Winston-Salem, NC, Eric J. Stephens and his wife Tracie Stephens of New Bloomfield, PA, daughter Sandra L. Lauver and her husband Ron Lauver of Jensen Beach, FL. His six grandchildren Brittnie McAninley, Seth Chaplin, Pauline Stephens, Zachary Stephens, Kylie Havenstien and Andrew Sorci will always remember his sharp humor; happy go lucky demeanor and dedication to his family.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 31, 2019, from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. in the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home 950 S.E. Monterey Road Stuart, FL 34994.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made, if desired, to the Human Society of Beaver County 3394 Brodhead Rd Aliquippa PA 15001.
