Richard James Strazzula, 72, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away suddenly on Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home.

Born in New York City, New York, he had been a resident of Fort Pierce since 1976 coming from his birthplace.

He honorably served as a member of the United States Army.

Survivors include three sons, William Scheffer and his wife, Rhonda of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Thomas Scheffer and his wife, Wendy of Indiana, and Edward Scheffer of Long Island, New York; one daughter, Jean Davis and her husband, Steven of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two brothers, Moe Strazz and his wife, Gladys of Montana and Paul Tyree of Richmond, Virginia; one sister, Peggy Tyree of Pensacola, Florida; and three grandsons, William Scheffer, Zach and Yani Davis.

Services and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family from the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory of Stuart.
