Richard Worsena, 80, of Stuart, FL. passed away on June 21, 2021 at home with family.

Born in Queens, NY, he had been a resident of Martin County for 16 years, coming from Indiana.

He served in the US Navy for 22 years which started on submarines and he retired as a Supply Corp. Officer with the rank of Commander.  His time in the military included the Vietnam War.

He loved military life which fueled his interest for traveling and he did that as often as possible.  He enjoyed performing and singing in community theatre, his church choir and barbershop chorus.  He was an avid collector of stamps and coins.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Penni Worsena; 5 children, Delene, Moniquea, Stasha, Kini and Rick and 8 grandchildren, Maverick, Lilith, Logan, Stone,  Jeremiah, Jaxon, JaLia and Derek.  He was preceded in death by his parents Frank & Kitty Worsena.

A mass at St. Andrews Catholic Church (2100 SE Cove Rd. Stuart) will be held at 10am on Tuesday, June 29 ^th followed by a Celebration of life at Club House 1 in Pinelake Gardens & Estates (6854 SE Morningside Dr. Stuart).

In lieu of flowers a donation in memoriam may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 39105, 800/822-6344 or on line at www.stjude.org or a Cancer organization of your choice.
