Rita Castelli, age 95 of Port St Lucie, FL passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the St Lucie Hospice House. Rita was born July 25, 1917 in Paterson, NJ to the late Eugene and Rose Marzorati. Rita was very active in Down's syndrome activities, caring for her daughter all of her life. She was also a long time member of the Special Kids of Toms River, NJ. Rita moved from Toms River, NJ to Port St Lucie, FL 15 years ago and has been here since. Surviving are a son, Steve Castelli and partner, Tom Yesulitis of Port St Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Christina, Juliana and Alexander Yesulitis; brother, Eugene and sister, Mary, both of New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen Castelli; daughter, Janet Castelli; sisters, Anna and Elsie and brother, Louis. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and no public services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Community Care of Fort Pierce (2900 S Jenkins Rd; Fort Pierce, FL 34981) or Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St Stuart; FL 34997).
