Rita Alita Peck, 88, of Stuart, an extraordinary earth angel, passed away October 4, 2018 at Treasure Coast Hospice.

Rita was born October 4, 1930 in Fort Pierce, FL she was the daughter of Arnold Taube and Mary Neal Taube.  She was a lifelong resident of the Treasure Coast.

She retired from Martin County School Board and had been registrar for Martin County High School for 26 years.

Rita was an active member of Abundant Life Ministries of Stuart. Rita and her late husband, Bob had overseen operations for  King's Kitchen at Abundant Life Ministries for 11 years, serving 5000 meals per year on Friday nights. They also coordinated holiday meals for Meals on Wheels and Council on Aging. The work Bob and Rita did helped other local churches pattern similar organizations to help provide meals to those in need.

Survivors include loving children, Mary Hudson (Travis), Robert Peck (Linda) and Kevin Peck (Lillian); cherished grandchildren, Mary Beth Furtado, Wesley Hudson, Robert Peck, Ben Peck, Sarah Hayes, Rebekah Peck, Michael Peck, Anthony Peck, Kelsey Suggs, and Alexandra Richey; 14 grand grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" J. Peck on March 7, 2016.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 12:30 pm, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home with a service at 12:30 PM, Pastor Jonathan McClain, officiating. A Reception will follow the service at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home. A Committal Service will be held at 2:30 PM at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart.
