Raymond J. Byrnes, 66, of Hobe Sound, Florida, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, Florida.

Born in Los Angeles, California, he had been a resident of Hobe Sound, since 2002, coming from Brooklyn, New York.

Survivors include four brothers, William Byrnes, of Brooklyn, Patrick Byrnes, and John Byrnes, both of Los Angeles, and Thomas Byrnes, of Stuart; three sisters, Margaret Byrnes, of Austin, Texas, Catherine Wake, of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Monica Wisner, of Brooklyn.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Hunter.

A Gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life was held Wednesday, March 11th, in the home of William and Ayacanora Brynes in Brooklyn.
