Robert DeFord Halstead of The Brennity in Tradition,Florida, previously of Hobe Sound,Florida, passed away October 6,2021, at the age of 93.

Born to Franklin and Katherine Halstead in Brooklyn New York.
"Bob" was raised in Massachusetts, graduated from Tufts University with a masters in Electrical Engineering.  He served in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. He had a long career in the aerospace industry with Grumman Aerospace and retired from Pratt and Whitney.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Palm Beach Gardens,FL.  He was an award winning tennis player and a avid golfer.
He was a gentlemen and a scholar.

He was predeceased by his wife,Ellen, his son Robert Jr (Barbara Jo) and daughter, Lisa. His is survived by his step children, Cathleen Mazzola (John predeceased) Maureen Kartrude (Steve) and James Dolan(Leeann), Grand children, Ryan Dolan (Jennifer), Katie Dolan, and Samantha Henson (Reuben), and great grandchildren, Chloe, Xander,Rocco,Theodora,Maxwell, and Sullivan.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
