It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Rudy" Chandler Johnson, who peacefully left us on September 16, 2025, surrounded by family. He was a man of unwavering character whose integrity and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.

Rudy was a devoted husband to Susan and a loving father to Eric and Kelly. His greatest pride was his family, and he instilled in his family the same values of honesty, hard work, and loyalty that defined his own life.

Rudy was a proud graduate of Martin County High School and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from University of Florida in 1974. After completing his education, he returned to Stuart and joined his family business, R.V. Johnson Insurance. With dedication, vision, and a strong work ethic, he expanded the business over 50 years, building on his father's legacy and earning the trust of the community. Under his leadership, R.V. Johnson Insurance became a well-known and respected part of the Stuart business landscape and remains here today. He took great pride in serving generations of local families, forming lasting relationships, and mentoring younger members of the industry.

A man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, Rudy was passionate about the outdoors. Whether he was on a boat offshore fishing, perfecting his golf swing, or heading out for a hunt with the boys, he found peace and renewal in his pastimes. These weren't just hobbies to him— they were opportunities to connect with friends, teach life lessons to his kids/grandkids, or spend quality time with those around him.

Rudy will be remembered for his generosity, wisdom, sense of humor, his willingness to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends, and his ability to find positive light in any situation. His legacy lives on in the values he passed down to his family and extended family and the countless
lives he enriched.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Johnson; his two children, Eric (Kristi) Johnson and Kelly (Chris) Johnson-Watkins; four cherished grandchildren, Gwen, Whitney, Chandler, and Landon; his two sisters, Carolyn Kahler and Robin (Chuck) Knebels; and his nieces and nephew,
Brenna (Burke) Askew, Rebecca Purdy, and Logan (Karlee) Knebels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Victor Johnson and Mary Chandler Johnson.

A Memorial & Celebration of Life will be held November 1, 2025 at 2pm, at the Mansion at Tuckahoe & Tuckahoe Terrace, 1707 NE Indian River Drive, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to House of Hope located at 2484 SE Bonita Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
