Robert McFadden, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died Friday, August 29, 2014 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Born in Grafton, West Virginia, he had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie, for twenty-three years, coming from Houston, Texas.
Bob was an Army Veteran, serving as a Paratrooper during World War II.
He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason, and a member of the Preston Lodge #90 F. & A. M. in Kingwood, West Virginia for over fifty years, as well as a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Eastern Shore Forrest #53 in Maryland, and Life Member of the Valley of Detroit Northern Masonic Jurisdiction in Dearborn, Michigan.
Bob was also a Life Member of German American Club of the Treasure Coast in Port Saint Lucie, and a former member of the Indian Hills Golf and Country Club in Fort Pierce.
Prior to his retirement, Bob was employed by Sanderson, & Porter of New York, and EBASCO Services, one of the major US architect-engineers, coordinating design of many nuclear power plants in the United States, and thru out the world. EBASCO was acquired by Raytheon in 1993. He was Project Engineer, Superintendent, and Manager, serving in various positions, as needed for each project. He was personally involved in the second phase of construction of the FPL Power Plant on South Hutchinson Island, as well as Generating Plants in the United States, Bahamas, Mexico, Iraq, and the Dominican Republic. Construction of power plants in the United States, required him to move his family to Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, and Michigan, Iowa, Delaware, and the state of Washington, until those plants were completed.
Survivors, include his beloved wife of 50 years, Uta McFadden, of Port Saint Lucie; one daughter, Veronica S. McFadden-Levet, and her husband, John, of Houston; his Chocolate Lab, "Reeses", his Queen Amazon Parrot, "Joe", and his granddog, "Divot"
He was preceded in death, by his best buddy, his Black Lab, "Rowdy".
Services and Interment will be private at the convenience of family.
