Robert Oldford, age 83 of Stuart, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House in Stuart, FL.

Bob was born February 27, 1930 in Lexington, MA, son of the late George and Julia (McAuliff) Oldford. He was a 1951 graduate of Boston University, completing his business degree. Bob and his wife came to Florida from Stamford, CT in 1978. Bob was on the board of the Florida Oceanographic Society and also served on the board for the Stuart Symphony Orchestra.

On September 19, 1953 in Boston, MA, Bob was united in marriage to his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia (O'Keefe) Oldford, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Neal Oldford and his wife, Colette Post of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Kathleen Oldford and her husband, Mark Sydow of Alpharetta, GA and daughter, Anne Oldford and her husband, Steve Holmes of Adelaide, Australia; grandchildren, Liam Holmes, Dylan Holmes, Jackson Oldford, Regan Holmes, Eleanor Oldford and Clare Oldford. Bob is also survived by a sister, Nancy Fletcher.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place and no public services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St; Stuart, FL 34997). Arrangements are by the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Stuart, FL.
