Robert George
Post, Jr.
Feb 17, 1947 — Dec 26, 2017
Stuart
It is with great sadness the family of Robert George Post, Jr. announces his passing on December 26, 2017, at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents Jean Murphy and Robert Post, Sr, originally from Farmingdale, New York.
He will be missed by his sisters, Elizabeth (BJ) Benevento, Marie Haas, and Heather Perry ; two brothers, Frank and Bill; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer.
He leaves behind his pride and joy, his two sons, Kevin and Michael,. Both lovingly cared for their dad until his passing. Bob's greatest joy was introducing his sons to the game of golf and was happiest when sharing the love of the game with his boys, and when playing guitar together. Kevin, his oldest, married to Jennifer, live in Ronkonkoma, Long Island, New York. Michael, presently residing in Japan, returned to be with his dad, will relocate back to Palm City, Florida. They shared how much they will miss their dad and he shared how proud he was of them. Bob was the guy that held doors open for women and kept a promise with a handshake. Neighbors remember Bob as a kind, quiet, respectful and helpful neighbor.
Whether working as a lead inspector at Hazeltine Corporation in Greenlawn, New York or studying with dogged determination to pass the Series 7 exam to become a licensed stock broker for Prudential Bache in Smithtown, New York, he took pride in his professions. Every career Bob chose to pursue was tackled with diligence, hard work, honesty and integrity.
After relocating to sunny Florida in the early 90's, he found his niche working as a Security Officer at Sailfish Point. He truly enjoyed working alongside his friends and co- workers and was honored the SFP Community would entrust him with their protective services. In the end, it was the Sailfish Point Community who protected Bob. They were there for him throughout his illness, protecting his legacy for his two boys. The Post family is truly humbled by their generosity and their compassion.
