Robert Leland Robbins, 77, of Stuart, FL passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL.
Mr. Robbins was born in Columbus, IN, and proudly served in the United States Army. He attended the University of Florida, in Gainesville, FL. He moved to Stuart, FL in 1966, coming from Sarasota, FL.
He assisted in the opening of the first Publix Super Market in Stuart. Prior to retirement he worked in auto sales, and retired from the clam digging industry.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Lee Robbins of Stuart, FL; Susan Denise Robbins of, GA; son Daniel Garrish Robbins of Micanopy, FL; mother Pauline Robbins of Clearwater, FL; brother Larry Robbins of Clearwater, FL; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Chester G. Robbins and his long time companion, Doris Sargent.
Services: A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 6PM on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Treasure Coast Hospice Gazebo; 1201 SE Indian Street, 34997.
