Robert "Woodie" Chetwood, Roberts, Jr., 83, of Jensen Beach, Florida passed away on December 5, 2017. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 27, 1934, the son of Lavina Close Roberts and Robert C. Roberts.

Woodie loved the outdoors and exploring the 10 Mile Creek as a child. After graduation from Ottawa Hills High School, he attended Colgate University and graduated in 1956. He served in the Army in Korea and was able to travel to many parts of the world.

Woodie began his career with Libby Owens Ford in Toledo and later became a Stock Broker with Merrill Lynch for 25 years in Akron, Ohio. He was always active in the Akron YMCA Athletic Club and was the Chairman of the Board.

Woodie is survived by his loving wife, Boni Beier Blanchard Roberts; a daughter, Katherine McKeason Roberts of Springfield, MO; and preceded in death by a son Andrew Roberts. He had three step-sons. Scott (Christy) Blanchard of Orlando, FL, Robert (Melissa) Blanchard of Bodega Bay, CA, and William Blanchard of Tallahassee, FL.

After retiring early from Merrill Lynch, Woodie lived on his Trawler Boat in Ft. Lauderdale. He played a lot of tennis and biked in many marathons across the country and also in France with the California Bike Club.

Woodie met his wife, Boni, also from Toledo in Ft. Lauderdale and have had many wonderful years together. Their love of the beach and ocean brought them to Jensen Beach, where they played tennis and met many good friends and neighbors.

Services will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
