Robert "Bob" Ulmer, 71, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, went to heaven to be with family on December 28, 2018. He was an "easy-going man with a slight twist" who loved his Redskins, country and hip-hop music, Disney, NASCAR and spending time with all his family, his loving wife and his cat Hunter.
Bob, born in Stuart, Florida on November 8, 1947, graduated Martin County High School in 1967 and then went on to join the Air Force. In the Air Force, he served for four years and served in Korea. He was awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. After leaving the Air Force as a sergeant, he worked for Grumman/Vought for 40 years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Pam Ulmer; his son, Sean Ulmer (Heather); his daughter, Megan Carnes (Mike); his stepdaughter, Trina Castrenze; his stepson, Shawn Leland (Amy); his grandchildren: Allie, Aly, Ivy, Abby (Robbie), Beth, Ian, a new grandson on the way and great-grandchild, Emma Leigh. He is also survived by his brother Carl Ulmer and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a private service and his ashes will be taken to North Carolina at a later date.
