Rose Olga Dellorto Wiedemann, 91, of the Savanna Club in Port Saint Lucie, Florida died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at her home.
Born in Orange, New Jersey, she moved to and was raised in West Orange, living and raising her family there, until moving to Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
Rose was a resident of Port Saint Lucie for ten years, coming from Little Egg Harbor Township.
A caring, giving and fun loving lady, she left smiles on all the faces of those she met. An avid Bingo and Mahjong player, she loved Atlantic City casinos, horse racing and the Florida arcades.
Rose is survived by her beloved husband Herbert W. Wiedemann; two daughters, Julie McCluney, of Stuart, Florida, and Roseann Dellorto, of Port Saint Lucie; two sons, Thomas Dellorto, of Toms River, New Jersey, and Vincent Dellorto, of Rockaway, New Jersey; three sisters, Florence Calciotti, of Bernardsville, New Jersey, Alma Violetti, of Lakehurst, New Jersey, and June Buccino, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Edythe Cheer and her loving husband of many years Vincent T. Dellorto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 SE Mariposa Avenue, Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34952.
Interment will follow at 1:15pm at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road #7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
