Rose Matysek Mason, 72, of Stuart, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rose was born January 27, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Aleksander Matysek and Irene (Kron) Matysek Cable. Rose graduated from Fenger Academy High School, Class of 1968, and studied at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL. Rose married Alan
Schoenhofen and he preceded her in death on 04/16/1997. Rose later married Dave Mason and he preceded her in death on 08/17/2011. Rose leaves behind her significant other, Jim Broland. Rose was also preceded in death by her parents.

Rose is survived by 3 brothers, Donald (former wife Peggy) Matysek of Frankfort, IL, Al (Kellye) Cable of Springfield, IL, Fred (Debbie) Cable of Springfield, IL; niece Tara (Tom) Syska of Orland Park, IL, nephew DJ Matysek of Lake Tahoe, NV; cousins Karen (Bob) Brown of Toledo, OH, Ronnie (Danielle) Cable of Tucson, AZ, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Rose was employed by Country Financial in Chicago and managed multiple residential properties in Stuart. Rose was extremely thoughtful and didn't miss a birthday or special occasion. She enjoyed being a member at the Moose Lodge and became a "Life Member" in 2021. Rose loved the members of the Moose Lodge and considered them family. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 29th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge at 2454 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida.
