Ruth K. Bayer, age 90, passed away April 1, 2014. She was born August 17, 1923, in Grape Island, WV. She graduated from Mountain State Business College and worked at Quaker State Oil Refinery in St. Marys, WV, where she met her husband, Phil, who predeceased her last year, after 63 years of marriage. They had moved to Stuart, FL permanently in 1986. She is survived by one daughter, Angela Bayer, of Hobe Sound, FL, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ruth enjoyed sharing her life with various cats and kittens over the years, as well as playing her piano and organ. Growing green zinnias and Bells of Ireland were another passion back in WV.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated. No service is planned. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Treasure Coast Hospice or Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.
