Ruth Creighton of Stuart, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday,  January 13, 2019 at 4:31 in the afternoon with her daughters by her side.

She was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 27th 1928 to Martha Blum and Harold Blum.  She lived in New Jersey until 1965, when she and her husband moved to Florida.

Our beloved Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 64 years; Walter Vincent Creighton, who loved her dearly.

Ruth Creighton is survived by her daughters, Martha Creighton and Ruthie Creighton-Klose; her son, Walter Creighton; grandchildren, Debra Mora, Cristina Cardwell, Kenneth Klose, Britta Creighton, Caitlyn Creighton; great grandchildren, Kayla Hougland, Summer Hougland, Amelia Creighton, Ian Creighton, Keira Klose, Otto Cardwell as well as numerous other loved ones whom have married into her great family.

Ruth Creighton spent her life devoted to her family and was a spiritual role model to those who knew her.  New and old friends alike relished in her beautiful smile and tremendous energy.  She loved to sing her praises to the Lord and she led a life anchored in great faith.   There is a special place in Heaven where Ruth and Walter have reunited and the angels are singing because one of their very best has gone home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 19th at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Treasure Coast Seawinds, Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart.
